I can't find Maddog's recipe

Did you search news section? He posts in there mostly.

Beef roast in case anyone's wondering. :smilin:

No, not in news. Lots of hits in archive though.

Clue Stooo?

The archive or old Arms? Or you just ask him again.

Archive.

I posted a thread in news for maddog and he's commented.

See news Hobbit to see if mads can help. I don't make such things so no use to you for cooking tips.

thanks Fletch

3 cups reserved chicken broth
3 bacon slices, diced
1 small onion, chopped
1 small green bell pepper, chopped
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons chili powder

Credit to Avon for hunting it down.

Got a scrummy fish pie from the supermarket.
In a WOODEN container - which apparently was OK for the oven (30 minutes at 220 degrees, summat like that)

The chef's name was on the container (Charlie Bingham) - always a red flag, that.
Means it's posh & poncy and will be probably double the cost of an ordinary pie. (Like brand names make clothes cost more)

"the finest ingredients milk potato fish cream salmon haddock butter cheddar pasteurised free range yolk, lemon juice, blah blah"
Fking gorgeous!!! Highly recommended.
£7 but worth every penny!

Never fancied a fish pie - to me a pie has meat in it.

Still I am glad that you enjoyed it.

What else would I be having on Burns Night?

The good thing about the microwave version is you don't have to spend your day cutting up neeps and tatties.

Plus there's no chance of a getting a big lump in the neeps, it scunners you when that happens.

Tonight I made a meatloaf using extra lean minced pork, parsley, onion, Plenty of seasoning, an egg and splash of worcester sauce. We had roasted veggies and jacket potato with it.
