Must try this! Forgive me this stupid question, but are the potato wedges supposed to be baked first? And if so, plain or spiced?

My apologies for not answering sooner, I hadn’t seen your question.

I baked the wedges first, in a large casserole dish, for about 20 minutes, then poured the beef bolognese on top, spread it out and put cheese on. I used the lightly seasoned wedges but plain would work too I should think. :Wiiiine!:

Thank you! And no worries, there was a long off-topic discussion right after, so I figured you hadn't seen it :smilin: I loved the genius of potato instead of pasta (and that along with the word 'spiced' may show you I am not a cook and need guidance!). Have all the ingredients ready, was just waiting for your answer, looking forward to trying it tomorrow, thanks again!

Beef teriyaki and noodles, from the left over beef 2 days ago. Will take all of 5 mins to stir fry with onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, salt n pepper.

Old family stand by tonight. Tender Beef Casserole.

Stewing steak, celery, chopped onions, potatoes (cubed), chopped carrots, S and P, parsley, 2 tablespoons vinegar (to tenderise beef) and a big dollop of mustard and enough stock to cover veggies and meat. Cook at 180c for 2-2.5 hrs.

Dead easy, just brown meat in a little olive oil, add stock (gravy granules or flour to thicken) and chuck it in casserole with everything else. I will add some dumplings on top about 20 mins before end of cooking time.
