The locals probably pay a fraction of the price paid by the tourist for that tea. It's no different to a British seaside tea shop charging a Saudi sheikh £100 for tea and crumpets. Not that a sheikh would be there, but you get the point. Would the rich sheikh be justified in arguing over the price? Probably. Does the fact the tea shop owner doesn't live a hard life in the middle of nowhere make a difference?

No proof at all, just using assumption like everyone else does on here.
Though the assumption is based on the real probability that very few of a population which isn't outwardly liberal and largely working class, would have the free time or money to go gallavanting around the Himalayas, most of us would be working for a living in proper jobs, most of your metropolitan liberals neither do or have either.

I think tea is pretty easy to get in Nepal, but that isn't the point, as you say the whining cow deserves no sympathy

Personally, I'd rather take in that scenery aboard a helicopter, before heading back to fresh warm towels and room service. But then, look at all the local culture I could be missing out on
She'd never in a million years have chased me, btw. I always tip way above the going rate. Plus, I'd have been the one in a helicopter...
