Do kids still do ‘Penny for the Guy’ anymore? I haven’t seen any for about 4 years now.

Now you come to mention it, neither have I. Can't even remember when I last saw any but it's gotta have been a lot longer than even 4 years ago.
Are our kids so rich and spoilt now these days that freezing your cods off for a couple of quid just isn't worth the hassle, pain and misery?

That American abomination they call Halloween has completely taken over. Bonfire Night will soon be resigned to the scrapheap
Back in the day, when I was a kid, we spent literally weeks collecting wood for a massive bonfire, using real axes and knives to chop the branches off trees. We spent hours making a guy using newspaper, old tights and dressing it in my dads old clothes. Or, if all else failed, my little sister got shoved in the pram. Then baked potatoes in foil, fireworks, spelling your name in the air with sparklers. Good memories.

That's the kind of bonfire night I remember.
No such thing as Halloween either.
Mischief night yes and that was just nicking garden gates mostly.
This year not bothered.
Grandchildren not interested in fireworks.
I always loved fireworks!
Still do in fact but nope .... boring.

I suspect you've stayed indoors now for many a 5th of November Jack? - probably based on the fear that some kids might unwittingly pick you up and chuck you on a fire by mistake.
Mind you I bet you could have made a small fortune this past two weeks just by sitting outside ASDA for a few evenings.
