Annual Leave

A right load of bollocks...

Annual Leave

Postby Stooo » Wed Nov 08, 2017 7:01 pm

I hardly have time off sick and I whinge like fuck when I am actually off with lurgie because it's boring. I took a week off back in June and another last week (that I forgot about and turned up at work anyway  ).

I found out that the car is due for it's MOT any day and had to book it in. I offered to work until 12 tomorrow because it's a PM slot but my manager said I would be better taking the day because I've got around 100 hours of AL owed that have to be taken before the end of March. I like my job and I'd rather be paid in lieu but it's not an option, I end up slobbing around when I have time off and I'd rather be grafting, weekends are enough for me.

What do you do in your time off?

Yes he wrote it.. what's your problem with that?

He was fantastic in The Crystal Maze though. One of the best TV game shows ever!

I have no problems at all with Mr Richard O`Brian, he's an actual hero of mine and yes, I've done the dressing up thing at theatre performances of the show

Nice convo but I still have an annual leave issue and all the wanking in the world won't solve it...

I’m horrible at taking time off. I tend to putter about and not relax so I feel like I haven’t had any time off by the time I go back. I could do with learning some relaxation techniques. I get 28 days off per year at my main job, and I work other jobs part time for cash so I don’t get paid for any time off there, so I rarely book those off. I will likely take the week between Christmas and new year off, but end up in front of the tele. I could keep busy with redecorating but it depends on whether mr canucklehead wants to help.

I have roughly about the same amount to take too & thats not taking into account days already booked for xmas & a short break.

Actually you just sound like me!

This year I had my normal leave, days carried forward from last year then I accrued loads of leui (can't spell it) days.

I have actually had two holidays but went into work early on the mornings of the departure days like 7am and put a few hrs in

Not as much as a workaholic as I used to be but yeah, glad to know its not just me :more beer:
