I don't think anyone's lying regarding 'almost dying', that would be pointless. But I think it's fair to say the majority of people who use forums seem to have had a tough life, or just been unfortunate when it comes to accidents. Seems quite a common theme on forums, I've seen this before when similar things have been brought up.
