This thread inspired me to have an omlette for my supper. And very nice it was too :grub:

Mine was made with bacon, mushroom and cheese.

I made omlettes for my grandson and his cousin for breakfast this morning, ham and cheese. They both asked for another, so after doing that I thought oh why not .................lovely it was too.

They do make you fart like a racehorse which is an additional attraction to the young. It works with sprouts as well

Actually, this is true. Austrians never add milk to scrambled eggs. I only started doing it when I came to NZ, they all did it, so I thought OK, I do it too then.. However, I really don't add much at all. It's true, eggs without milk are so much tastier. The other mistake is, so many people overcook the eggs.

Pah! My missus makes scrambled eggs that way - takes ages and they come out kind of sickly (but then I'm not that keen on eggs). I do them like I saw a Chinese bloke do them - beat 'em, throw them into a scorching pan and seconds later they're on your toast or whatever. Milk or no milk they taste the same that way.

The only thing I like with scrambled eggs is cheese in them.

Oddly perhaps, we have scrambled eggs with smoked cod poached in milk and served with green beans. I think that combination originates up your way (Scotland).
