You were in a country where you found a massive rough diamond and the law stated FINDERS KEEPERS

You were offered the equivalent of £5 million Stirling to be paid into your UK account for it immediately
But
you had the option to take it to auction where you are professionally advised it COULD fetch much more,

Do you yake the £5 million or go to auction on a gamble?

And of course don't forget the Auction House's vendor's commission.

Could fetch much more.. can you be more precise? The evaluation would be a little more precise than, 'It could fetch much more'. lol

I’d take the money. You could always shove a lump of coal up your bum and wait a couple of weeks for a new one. :bum:

Is the authenticity of the diamond guaranteed or is there a risk that if it goes to auction it will be exposed as a lower grade or an outright fake?

If authenticity is guaranteed I would go to auction.
