Last house we renovated had a deep fat fryer built in to the counter. The guy who owned it before had died a few years earlier, and the house had been sat there since. I swear the oil had solidified. Just a block of white in its place.
Used an ice cream scoop on it.
We’re going to the chippy. Fuck fat fryers.
it was probably lard! if it didn't smell then it could have been used. I prefer lard over veg oil. and I would never heat the stuff.
