Well yes, you kind of have a point but the government/councils should have effective systems in place to ensure widescale fraud like this is stopped before it happens or is picked up quickly.

The people involved are still human, seemingly have kids that cannot be blamed for having morally corrupt parents.

But where the people come from or the colour of their skin is not relevant. Not all people who come here for a better life fiddle the system

For what its worth the punishment is a joke. Community service till the debt is repaid is a better idea

Partner had to sign a tenancy to Iraqi man that been in this country for a year , apparently he was housed by the council in Victoria area but he attacked a woman porter on the estate and he was evicted, he was found guilty in court but was released , he can’t go within 5 miles of the woman he sexually assaulted,but he was rehoused by the same council that evicted him because of peer pressure by his mp , he was house in a different area , he so dangerous towards woaman that when my partner sign him up for his new tenancy she had to guarded by two policemen , male social worker and two men from her department . He’s Just a ticking time bomb regarding womans it’s a matter of time he will rape or kill , Just a tip of a iceberg

Not arguing with that. Fine of £5000 won't even cover the legal fees never mind anything else. It will have cost a couple of hundred K.

Sure I saw some figures a while back that gave an indication of how much of the social fund is paid out to fraud. It wasn't as much as expected but then I think the government try to hide how large of a problem it is.
