Has there been a better goalkeeper than Pickford? Debatable...

Trippier has certainly been one of the best defenders on show, as has Maguire.

Kane, as current top scorer is likely to feature I’d imagine...

In this world cup, dunno.

In the past Gordon Banks.

Thank you for your wiki link on Gordon Banks. As an English football fan I had no idea who he was. It’s also totally relevant to who would make this World Cup team... :off head:

I gave you the link, as I was wondering if you could spell his name. HTH

Plenty of evidence in this thread.

A town in Scotland actually put up a statue of Mel Gibson after Braveheart came out.

An alcoholic anti-semitic woman-abusing Christian fundamentalist.

I'm no expert by any means, but surely this has turned into everything a world class tournament final should be. It just keeps on giving... :yess:

That Mbappe kid...just wow... step aside, Ronaldo :ooer:

I feel a bit sorry for Croatia, tbh.

Thought Croatia was the best team for about 60% of the game.

Hugo Lloris - best goalkeeper in the world? - did anyone else notice the hundreds of thousands of pounds that fell off his transfer value every second he fucked about with that ball before Croatia got their second goal. :gigglesnshit:

So that's twice now a country who doesn't see football as it's national sport has won the World Cup. :dunno:

France is the poorest and least supported of the the top 5 leagues in Europe yet once again they come up with the goods when it matters, what does that say about English football and the Premier league?

Some might remember many decades ago now when English football was ridiculed and frowned upon for it's direct 'hoof the long ball up the pitch and see what happens' approach whilst the rest of Europe played fancy, technical possession stuff out from the back.

Our approach made us kings of Europe for a decade or more yet someone decided we should play like them, brought in foreign managers and players to 'teach' us and thats when our demise began.

It's no surprise though that when all these foreign teams come up against an opponent their fancy football can't get past, they resort to the trusted English way of the long ball.

It's really the France and French Africa team though, they get players from a big pool.

Other than most of the big media outlets are UK/British not just English.

If you go to Scotland you will realise that there is a Scottish Sun, Scottish Daily Mail, Scottish Daily Express etc etc now are these Scottish media sources Scottish or not? Twat.

Hi Ray. They were ALL French citizens, whatever their colour. Football is colour blind.
