Only 109 million views for a pretty mediocre song.

Spoiler: show
Of course I'm being sarcastic there. This song is cult legend.

Some people on YT are claiming they have only found this song because of the recent BT advert. Anybody who hasn't heard it before must be young enough to be in nappies or just living on another planet. Seriously.

Awsome Dance mix I was listening to last night. We can Dance, then the page was stuck on A horse with no name. After song ends it shows other selections. If you didn't know that already?

Absolutely love that song and the video certainly captures the North in the 80s.
They did also do this cover of a Smiths song which was featured in the museum scene of the film Ferris Buellers Day Off (fabulous film :wubbers: )

A cat being strangled would’ve sounded better than that.

Indeed. A lot of modern music these days is just re-inventing the wheel.

New Order - Substance 1987 (Disc One)

Gotta buy this.

If any of you went to The Hacienda in the 80's and New Order - Blue Monday came on, there would be hardly anybody sitting down. New Order being from Manchester.

New Order are an English rock band formed in 1980 by vocalist and guitarist Bernard Sumner, bassist Peter Hook and drummer Stephen Morris. New Order were formed after the demise of their previous band Joy Division, following the suicide of vocalist Ian Curtis. They were joined by Gillian Gilbert on keyboards later that year. Their integration of post-punk with electronic and dance music made them one of the most critically acclaimed and influential bands of the 1980s.[1] They were the flagship band for Manchester-based independent record label Factory Records and its nightclub The Haçienda. They worked in long-term collaboration with graphic designer Peter Saville.

Fuck me. This is getting into New Gold Dream (Simple Minds) territory.

Now. I'll put my hand up. I know quite a lot of New Order popular stuff from the 80's, but tbh hadn't really delved too much further. Too much other 80's music knocking about.

Although NEW ORDER was excellent..I believe they peaked in genius as JOY DIVISION.
