There's a lot of people with mental problems made worse by cannabis, it's the biggest cause of psychosis.

That's also a drain on the NHS and costly for society.

Are there a lot of people made psychotic by cannabis use?

Statistically it's about 1 in every 23000 users who is at risk. The far greater risk to health comes from the tobacco that many users use alongside.

Quite a low risk really.

Relatively - and since everything in life has risk it's best not to fret unduly about things.

I'm more of a fan of just getting on with work/ stuff and distractions.

A study showed that the 7/7 survivors who didn't have therapy recovered quicker than those who did.

I'm the opposite - I avoid distraction and seek answers.

I think you're approach is the same as mine.
Avoidance might be comfortable but it leaves unfaced problems.
Once you have the answers or some answers you've already changed things.

I don't think it works.

Something to do for doctors who can't stand the sight of blood.

They say "so you've got this problem and this problem and this problem" but they weren't problems until they made them problems.

Call it a stiff upper lip or living in denial but that's the way to go IMO.

OK doesn't work for some people.

Most people I would say or people would be cured and not have to see a therapist anymore but it doesn't seem to work like that.

Most people who I know who have sought have found - but it takes courage and persistence, not avoidance.

As a side note, as I suspected, many people, if not the majority of people on this forum have mental health problems, and allowing one of the members on here to tell people to "go kill themselves" could have tragic consequences.

Not exclusively - depends on the problem. I'm a fan of CBT though.

People are confused about cannabis oil and it's no wonder.
You can now buy cannabis oil in Holland and Barrett but it isn't cannabis oil it's CBD oil.
If it was cannabis oil the kid in the news wouldn't be having the problems he's been having .... his mum could just pop to the shops.
The kid was on the real thing which on the street is rare these days in the UK.
It was common in the seventies in the North of England as the real thing came in from Morocco .... made by white English hippies with attitude.
It was headed by a young lady who the Manchester Evening News had labelled Shelly the blond haired cannabis queen.
This was when she was caught with some relatively small amounts in a cottage in a small quiet part of Greater Manchester.
The oil is the purest strongest kind of cannabis that's ever been available on the streets.
Convenient too.
You could dip a match in your bottle and simply wipe it down the side of a Benson and Hedges.
Instant spliff.
Hash oil can be around 80% THC so be warned should you come across some any time without experience.
All this talk gives me something of an effect I refer to as euphoric recall.
Tempts me to come out of retirement!
I won't though.

It works, but only in the short term.
