The law is a bit more complicated than that.

It depends on how far down that rabbit hole that you want to go.

I'm ultimately responsible for this site but I can claim in my defence that I can't have possibly read through nearly one and a half million posts, so we go to the post. If it's a guest post that is breaking the law then if it's something very serious (child abuse etc) the onus on posting it would be attributable to the mod that approved it and they would be deemed liable, not something that's going to happen but that's where the land lies. If a member posts something really bad and I get a phone call then I'll spunk up their joining IP and ISP as well as whatever email they used to join, I've explained this in the data protection thread and several times before. Banning and deletion of the offending content before I take screengrabs would follow.

We manage to stop most of the crap though...

Yes it's on the onus of who let's it through. If I were a detective in charge of the internet I'd try my luck by posting things to see what would get through to catch people.

If my post never got through. I'd register the post and then question the admin on why they haven't reported said post if it were serious.

And that's how it should be.

Actually after we had all calmed down and midden had her jaws washed and a bath, he said she tried to run with it - he’d just thrown her ball so maybe, maybe she just picked it up by accident and she’s not a mink after all.
