It's looking a lot like that Communism you protest about.

Zero Hour Contracts are not that common, and some employees prefer them, students for example.

Lies all lies!

They are common and the students that prefer them only say they prefer them because theyve been told that they prefer them! I bet many people are treated very poor under such conditions. I don't think anyone prefers that.

Employer :Will you work this extra shift

Student : I'm not free that day

Employer : ok we don't want you in for the next 2 weeks

Most would prefer a steady job. And just because a few dimwits parrot that they 'prefer' it shouldn't dictate to whole society.

I'm talking about students who are still studying, they don't want a steady job until they graduate.

Correction - 1.7 million contracts that did not guarantee a minimum number of hours as at December 2016.

It's actually 1.8 million now which is 6% of all employment contracts.

The number of people employed on zero-hours contracts in their main job has dropped, from 905,000 in 2016 to 901,000 in 2017.

25.3% of people on a zero-hours contract want more hours.

Where's the lie?

The same data source says that 1.5% of the people in Britain are homosexual. Are homosexuals uncommon?

I know many young students and they do want a steady job. Although they will take the zero hour contacts as they steady jobs aren't there.

Are students even included in these employment figures if they are 18 and under and classed as In Full Time Education? I don't think they are. That's another way they are fiddling the books.

What, instead of studying?

You can't work full-time and be a student unless you do night classes and that's not the same thing.

How is a study of work contracts the same as asking someone whether they're gay or not which they could very well lie about?

Completely different in terms of accuracy/

The figures in both cases derive from surveys.

No. A part time steady job and studying. Full time education is as little as 12 hours with the rest of the work put in on your own time.

Where's the lie?

That's a quater not earning enough to live on. Which is pretty disgusting. Meanwhile someone is getting rich from their slogging

Do you agree that everyone should all be on a living wage for the work they do?

I'm sure there are plenty of people working part-time who are not on zero hours contracts who want more hours as well though.

You've have to survey them and see how many of them want more hours.

75% are happy with zero hours contracts because they're mainly students who want flexibility.
