Comfort food - I don't blame you

When do you get the CT results?

On topic ... homemade gazpacho, followed by king prawn salad with some lime dressing.

I don’t have a time scale, they send it off to get analysed and then send a copy of the report to my GP. Probably a couple of weeks I would guess.

I love prawns.

what menu would you choose?

I'd do an edible bloody mary to start (tomato soup that is actually mainly vodka)

Persian lemon and saffron chicken with flatbreads and tzatziki

probably homemade fruit fool for dessert (rhubarb or gooseberry, or whatever is in season)

and lots and lots of booze, extra points for that

Sounds good..... i’m not sure tbh.... but it would have to include hassleback potatoes in the main.... and some kind of salmon starter, tart maybe with spinach and goats cheese?..... and good old bread and butter pud for dessert!

good call on the bread and butter pudding, I'd do an orange and chocolate one maybe

I actually made a B&B pudding last night, all the talk of one made me want one  ..... just lately I have been using a panettone, only a quid for a huge one in poundstretcher of all places :gigglesnshit:.... and I only use about a quarter of one..... I added extra mixed fruit, chopped glacé cherries and flaked almonds.... with a sprinkle of brown sugar on top to give it a nice crunch.... bloody good it was too ..... must try one with chocolate next! :wubwub:

That sounds lovely.

Have you tried chocolate chip panettone? We get one from Vallebona at Christmas time and a slice spread with lightly salted butter is sooooo good.

Is it a tinned meal?

If so, there is nothing quite like a processed meal to make you really feel like you're eating the 'real thing'. :smilin:
