The Science And Nature Thread #2

A right load of bollocks...

I am continually amazed by new discoveries in the universe, like brown dwarfs that failed to grow to a size wherein fusion would automatically commence in their cores to turn them into stars, but today I found an article on a Dwarf Galaxy...

Astronomers discover supermassive black hole in an ultracompact dwarf galaxy

https://phys.org/news/2018-08-astronome ... mpact.html

We seem to be making tremendous strides in astronomy and our ability to detect new exotic heavenly bodies seems to be growing but space programmes I do find rather disappointing.

It is nearly 50 years since man landed on the moon and for half a century all man has done is to bimble around in near earth orbits.

I do wish they'd go back to the Moon and then venture to Mars to spice things up a bit.

This thread should be in another section really, if you don’t want trolling posts in it...

Why the fuck does every single thread have to become a trolling thread? Where does it say it's a requirement? ...Stop it Dean or I will lock this one for a while...This is rediculous

Pelagornis is not nearly as famous as it should be.

Imagine a bird with a seven metre wingspan and massive bony pseudoteeth stealing your chips at the seaside!
