I had one of them nearly thirty years ago. Drove it through a river and on hillsides it could travel sideways on a angles that would have toppled other 4x4'S.
The fact it had a flat four engine as opposed to a stand up engine helped with the centre of gravity I think.
Also had a level on screen of what the angle was and a warning about the limits you were taking it to.
Great little car but not the luxury that came with the Forester.
