It has been warm this week, very warm at night in particular. Got my winter duvet on too early.

I have lights around my mantle all year round. And I love those large, round vases with a bunch of led lights plonked inside. Christmas shopping is now a whole lot easier than when my lot were little. They still like a little pile of surprises to open, though, so I do spend time carefully choosing small gifts. For the large extended family, we now do Secret Santa, which saves a fortune.

It's actually quite fun paring it back to what matters most; family time, love and food.
