This one’s nice.

It's well shaggy (it wasn't me), but it will collect dirt and debris like it's going out of fashion, making it difficult to clean.

There’s this thing called a hoover. You might have heard of it. :awesome:

Just my advice being a landlord. Landlords don't normally lay down thick pile carpets or rugs in rented accommodation as they are too high maintenance and difficult to clean. You'll be looking at office style carpets, which again are not normally thick pile for the same reasons. Helpful though is to not wear outdoor shoes inside the house.

ETA - BTW? Go for the color you want ! You're the one living with it.

I want the pink blush one but it looks more like it’s for a bedroom than a living/dining room. Plus it’s £70 so forget that, new bathroom means no more extravagance for a while.

I wouldn’t give it £7 tbf.... nice spider and dust collector though!

I wouldn't have it at all. It will look nice clean and fluffy for the first few weeks or even a few month but once it's starting to collect serious dust it will be the end of it. How do you clean it and still have it look fresh and new? ...and tbh, I actually think it looks tacky.

Size matters go bigger & don't bother with any of that smart nonesense

Have you paid Ikea to put them together?

They all appear to be smart. I'll put the units together myself, the same with the beds that are arriving next week

Your getting everything new? didn't you bring anything over from the other place?

Yeah but not any furniture, I want a new start.

Indeed. Old furniture is only going to be a daily reminder of the past if you want to move on.
