No Idea Stooo ,I've had Sky for Years ,with a TV Package and then Free Phonecalls and Unlimited Broadband ,for years and it's always been a Static IP

Dunno. I had Sky over a decade ago and it was dynamic :dunno:

It could be a loyalty thing or possibly linked into a VM exchange further up the pipe.

Yea could be ,like you I've no Idea ,only what it states i'm Clueless really where things like this are concerned

@ Dean...if I have a power outage, and then the leccy restores itself and everything switches back on, does that mean my router will have reset itself too? If so, will my usual home IP details have changed?

Depends what provider you use. I use Virgin media for example, I can’t change my IP. If you use SKY, switching off your router at the mains will reset your router...

I’m with Sky, my IP address doesn’t change if I reset router or switch off at the mains, I do have to reset my passwords though because I changed that from the original one and it resets back to that if I reset the router.

Yea I'm with Sky ,and it says i have a Static IP

Where does it tell you it’s static Daisy? I just know my IP doesn’t change when I reset the router because I checked today

I just put what's my IP Address in Google and then when it comes up it said Extra details ,if you press that all the Info comes up ,it said it was Static in there

Oh Stooo beat me to it Dis :gigglesnshit:

Within the cell network. I can refresh login to here if I don't use wifi on my phone without having to provide details, it resets after a few days but in the meantime I don't get logged out and that's a 70 mile plus distance.

Your personal ad needs a bit of work. :ooer: It’s a good start though.
