Well, that seems to be the end of any good weather. I've now got the heating on and am changing over to the winter quilt.

Personally I don't mind it, as long as I am warm and toasty in my own home. I like staying in when the weather is like this. Or is it maybe only Scotland getting this windy, cold and wet weather?

Anyone else feeling a nip in air in the morning, or are the southerners amongst us not experiencing it yet, and if you are, what do you like/dislike about the colder nights?

It's the worst time of the year for us as the leaves start to fall, and i have to keep blasting the fuckers out with my high powered blower!

It does feel noticeably cooler, I closed the bedroom window last night before bed. We leave it open most of the time except if it’s very windy. Put the extra thermal blanket on the bed a couple of weeks back, it was most welcome.

I have a couple of potted plants outside that I’m contemplating bringing inside soon, the little info card they came with said they can be put indoors, just need direct sunlight. The front room is the only one that gets that so I’ll have to do some rearranging first. They’re called sago palms apparently, like this:

Yea, glad I have accrued a bit of credit on my fuels because the summer was warm, for I have a feeling this will be a bad winter again. Lastnight was mild through the night - so of course with the heavier quilt on I was too warm!

Know what you mean about a window open through the night - here it's been very windy and I had to shut it or my dog would bark at everything!
