Mind you look what they did to Torquay:

GRASSED OVER: Abbey Gardens, Torquay
Victorian flower beds ripped up as gardeners culled

Parks are being deliberately run down by cost-cutting councils.

In Torquay – once the jewel in the crown of the English Riviera – the vibrant flower beds in Cary Green pavilion, which dated back to the Victorian era, have been grassed over.

Those in Abbey Park Gardens have been filled in with concrete.

Town is desperate in Torquay, the whole place is rotting away now.

Every council owned gardens/park is being neglected, or at least severely cut back on. It's the same up here, some roads were getting so bad that the local farmer got out and cut them - back roads too, so bendy you need to see... :ooer:

It's all over the place, and while the poor get poorer, the rich get richer. Austerity is the biggest con a government has ever came out with. :brickwall:
