Only really a problem October/ November.

The parents have probably bought them. You can get fireworks all year round, deal with it.

Only from licensed shops apparently, so not on the internet, how many of those are there?

Buying fireworks
You can only buy fireworks (including sparklers) from registered sellers for private use on these dates:

15 October to 10 November
26 to 31 December
3 days before Diwali and Chinese New Year
At other times you can only buy fireworks from licensed shops.

EDIT: You can buy them on the internet from licenced shops so you are correct.

Something, something: 'Sending explosives through the postal system' . Yeah, I wonder why that is.

You can get them all year round, do you want a link?

Most people get them from supermarkets and also newsagents, corner shops, which they can't do most of the year because it's not licensed.

You seem upset about something Stooo.

Is it because your forum traffic keeps falling?

Because that was due to decisions you made.

"Deal with it" as you might say.

They already are limited.

Only sold for Bonfire Night, Diwali, New Year and Chinese New Year, and only widely sold for Bonfire Night.

I also think the restrictions brought in to stop children buying bangers have worked to some extent and that combined with the higher prices they sell for means that where I live it's not as noisy as it used to be.

5 years ago they would be going on for 2 weeks and there would be many more loud bangs as kids would put bangers in barrels and bins.

Rocketman in Bridgwater sells them all year round as does any event management business, you do realise that people use fireworks for all sorts of celebrations don't you? Weddings and even funerals! You can get your cremated remains crammed into a tube of black powder and blown to fuck! :awesome:

Ordinary shops don't stock them out of season because they are explosives and you don't want that shit hanging around.

Yeah but it's not like we have form for letting off fireworks in the high street every year

And you can get them out of season anywhere. Give it a think Ray, the insurance would be stupid if you stocked explosives all year round in Sainsburys.

It's not the insurance though it's the licensing as was explained on the official government site I linked to.

Weird how everyone is beginning to sound the same on here isn't it?

Maybe because they are the same?
