poppies

A right load of bollocks...

poppies

Postby BUDGIE » Wed Nov 07, 2018 6:03 pm

I'm wearing two at the moment, to remember both my grandads who died before they met my grandmothers.

Are you wearing one?

If not, why not, you Nazi supporting cunt?

Anyone who declares they don't have a poppy on this thread, is persona non grata to me...

I've got the earrings which I'll wear for a couple of weeks

daughter has one of the centenary enamel pins, and there's a couple of poppies knocking about the house

it's not really the wearing though is it, it's more about the cold hard cash and the good that the British Legion does

I've got a clip on one that goes on the zip of my hoodies and sweats, I usually lose the paper ones within minutes so this is ideal. People have the freedom not to wear what they don't want to wear you pound shop fascist.

Sadly, poppy wearing seems to have been taken over by the far right.

Poppy count: 5

Not bad, but you could do better.

Have you considered decorating your pets and relatives with 2 poppies each??

So far, 5 is the number to beat.... Who can do better?

Don't ask this on Claire's forum, they hate the Brits...

I don't think that it has, the Poppy has been a part of the nation since it's inception. I do however take exception to footie lads giving the hitler salute while wearing them, gammons I'll give the benefit of the doubt because maybe they were affected by personal loss.

The Poppy is universal and shouldn't be co-opted into the alt/far Right symbolism like they are trying with the Union flag, the flag of Saint George and even the OK hand sign. Hitler had his own flags and symbols, it's about time these cunts started to make their own instead of sullying ours.

No, I don’t wear one, and I don’t have an opinion on what others choose to do.
