Sad to see how the mighty decline actually. Michael Johnson will always be remembered for his inimitable achievements during his athletics career and thereafter with his foundation improving other athletes plus his punditry for TV. He is a great man still.

Gaza was a fantastic footballer but a classic example of a tormented soul descending into alcoholism to down and out, and in spite of all his friends trying to help him he descends deeper.
This latest story shows how he has fallen. It is sad indeed. I cannot imagine any woman wanting this man anywhere near her...

Former England footballer Paul Gascoigne has been charged with sexually assaulting a woman on board a train in August.

The 51-year-old former England international was arrested at Durham station on August 20 and on Monday British Transport Police confirmed that he had been charged with one count of sexual assault by touching.

A spokeswoman for the force said: "A man is due to appear in court next month charged in connection with the sexual assault of a woman on board a train from York to Durham.

"Paul Gascoigne, of Amy Street, Leicester, was charged via postal requisition with one count of sexual assault by touching, contrary to Section 3 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.

The reason I posted both his and Gazza's latest news was to test who out of the two would generate most responses Sundaze, it is clear that the alleged sexual assault (being a heinous crime) will because it shows the worst of humanity.

I don't get it either

one is a terrible tragedy, the other is a stream of bad decisions by a self-confessed wife beater

I don't doubt that Gazza has mental health issues but being charged with assault is not comparable to suffering a stroke, they have no similarities
