I like the spice girls sober... just not quite so publically. I totes know all the dance moves still too.

Regrets are being had today. Not so much hangover, but pulled muscles, sore feet and a general whole body ache :bawlin:

Liverpool city centre Huyton Knotyash.
The traffic!!!!
If I see a hundred cars where I live it means a week has gone by!
Fucking awful.
Numerous packed motorways and dual carriageways.
Warrington and Runcorn.
Runcorn stiks from all the chemical factories and Warrington is .... more fucking traffic!
The good news was I got to my favourite Chinese food warehouse to stock up on sauces and spices.

Well, if the population in urban areas embraced public transport a bit more and the government invested more in public transport, plus the UK being obsessed with car ownership, then it wouldn't be so much of a problem. And good news for everybody, the problem is going to get far, far worse and sooner rather than later. The future doesn't look good.

Car congestion is already losing billions to the economy and population growth is making the problems even worse. Then there are the environmental impacts and loss of quality of life for many people. Until the government(s) take(s) the bull by the horns by charging private car journeys much more, investing the ring fenced money into public transport improvements, nothing is going to change. And they (governments) are reluctant to do so, as it's a vote loser.

Is your journey really necessary. In many cases no.

I've walked under Cynghordy viaduct while walking to stay at a youth hostel (Bryn Poeth Uchaf) nearby.

Closed now, like many other youth hostels in Wales, especially in the more remote parts. Hostels like Ystradfellte, Tyncornel, Dolgoch, Blaencaron, Ystumtuen, Corris etc. They weren't quite as bad as the films though. :kinell:

Spoiler: show
But seriously, if you liked living it rough (as in only having basic amenities), self catering at places in the middle of nowhere, some without electricity, but in areas of outstanding natural beauty, these were for you.
