Seriously.
When I said there eat well plate was nonsense and I was going for low carb there was uproar.
Then they started to see the results
Then they admitted I was the only T2 at the surgery doing well while the rest went on ever more medication.
Yes I said because the eatwell plate is nonsense.
The NHS have just recently added low carb to the advice for T2's.
Oh yes indeed, when first diagnosed I had a nurse give me lots of advice on diet in my own Surgery, I was then sent to a specialist diabetic unit in Hammersmith and they gave me wholly contradictory advice? I then looked online and became even more confused.
I have therefore opted to avoid sweets, cakes, biscuits, chocolate, ice cream etc etc and I eat quite bland food --meat and vegetables, eggs and cereals, crackers and cheese and other boring crap but very little fruit.
Having loved Black Forest Gateau and other similar foods it is a real pain tbh but such is life.

Right wing media smears and nonsense

Being "Little Englanders" would have kept us out of both WWI and WWII and saved a million lives.
Foreign alliances and treaty obligations brought us into both those wars.

Are you saying the Scots, Welsh and Irish are to blame?

No the alliances were with France and Belgium in WWI and France and Poland in WWII.
Whereas "splendid isolation" would have saved over a million lives.
No-one talks about "Little Swedes" or "Little Swiss" do they when they stay neutral?
