You’re definitely not backwards in coming forwards.

I'm wondering how many more bans from Holly I need to beat the forum Legend's ban rep.

Will that make me an inspirational woman, d'ya reckon? :gigglesnshit:

You’re not, and never will be, a legend on this forum. You’ll always be a latecomer and an outsider...

Fabulous lady.

Silly question, probably, but did you see the movie?! :bawlin: :bawlin: :bawlin:

Joy Adamson.

Remember reading about her as a teenager.

Friederike Victoria "Joy" Adamson was a naturalist, artist and author. Her book, Born Free, describes her experiences raising a lion cub named Elsa. Born Free was printed in several languages, and made into an Academy Award-winning movie of the same name

Yes, a wonderful film, but I was sobbing towards the end. So inspiring, but heartbreaking too.

Extraordinary lady who brought known ( opposing ) terrorists with blood on their hands to the negotiating table and banged their heads together to make them see sense and choose the path of peace.
I don't think many know what she did for peace in Ireland/Nor'n Ir'n

Both her and her husband. I've got one of her books, Joy Adamson's Africa, the sketches are wonderful.

I disagree.
It's still a damn good thread and I for one, am really enjoying browsing it and I'm learning a lot from the huge volume of historical facts in this thread.

If you are moaning about the guests - well someone has to approve their posts for them to hit the board, so take it up with the approvers.
If you are moaning about some members - well most of the members briefly went a little bit off topic, tbh. Read back!

You did not moan when a mental health dig was directed at someone (me) just 3 posts in.
(I did not mind the dig at all btw, and I responded by making a couple of light hearted tit-for-tat posts.)

Have you made any contribution to this topic yet, middens?
Do you plan to?
Why not tell us who your inspirational woman is, instead of grumbling about trolling in a trolling forum?
Lighten up and replace your negativity with positivity. :Wiiiine!:
