Check out Hyndland, Kelvinside. etc. They are indeed upper class, and also full of Uni students too. I lived in the West End, and know it well. It is in the area Glasgow's wealthy built, to get away from the smog of the town - it is on the way to Loch Lomond, so you may understand it better now, so of course there is a "posh" side of Glasgow.
