Good :smilin:

My Italian passport means, either way, the Brexit outcome won't affect me at all, tbh. But I grew up in England and London is still my spiritual home, so I care about my fellow Europeans in the UK  I'm keeping everything crossed for the best possible outcome.

Busy weekend ahead. Beer festival on Friday night followed by a street stall with Devon for Europe on Saturday in Torquay. I just got a phone call from the LD's asking me if I want to meet Sir Vince on Sunday in Paignton? I'll try to get some pics :canny:

I wonder if we'll even leave this year now. What a mess.

I really do wish they'd just stop all this National Embarrassment Bollocks and just call the whole thing off because there is no good outcome for the UK in any shape or form whatsoever.

I feel embarrassed for all those twats in Parliament, how can they even show their faces in public?

Here's hoping that we leave on Friday, if it's without a deal then so be it, but the sooner we leave the sooner we can set about clearing this mess up and putting it behind us.

:pmsl: Doubt it. I'd say the extension will be looked for by May. Too many opposing and too many not wanting to leave with no deal.

Deep joy. I'm trying to think how this country could appear stupider.
I wonder what 'reasons' May gave for the extension.

Activists' Diary

Postby Stooo » Sat Apr 13, 2019 3:41 pm

A chilly morning in Torquay, we set up the stall to get ready for the start at ten.

Image

I've done street stalls in the past for the Lib Dems and they were jolly affairs with balloons and shit, this one started with instructions on what do do if physically attacked :ooer:
Stall set up I got my pack and started with my smile set to heartbreaking and my attitude to friendly, shit, I lived here for most of my life, I know these people. The first two dozen times that I got told to fuck off were the hardest, I got called a traitor, a nazi and one very angry man with an English Bull terrier got quite animated and very shouty, very very shouty! Then the local Kipper flash mob turned up with placards, shouted a bit and fucked off.

Image

I stayed until one and had some really great conversations with people sympathetic to a Peoples Vote including some leavers who had jumped the lines, I got a few signups for our local group and kept the Brexitometer busy
