I didn't watch much of the group stages, so don't know if this is correct or not, but I'm sure I heard Jonathan Pearce say that one of the Cameroon players became so emotional after scoring...that she was taken off on a stretcher! :pmsl:

:pmsl: no stretcher though :pmsl:

So she was helped off after scoring or subbed due to being too overwhelmed? LoL

I must have misheard the bit about the stretcher.

They were a disgrace today though. I'm not a fan of Neville, but he gave the perfect interview after the match, so kudos to him.

No she was emotional after the goal was disallowed!

They were shameful & the ref allowed their time wasting... at one stage the ref was pushed so bad by a Cameroon player yet done absolutely nothing.

Not a nice way to leave a competition & well said Phil Neville.

(I don't watch but am trying to figure out how it was racist?)

It's how things are now.

And what did they say?

I expect that kind of behaviour in men's football, but I was shocked to see Cameroon behave so in such an outrageous manner. It was horrendous :ooer:

Roll on Tuesday 8pm, England V USA --the World Champions and probably the best team in the entire world, hence England defeating them and getting to the final will be a great result.

USA are favourites, so Come On The Lionesses!!!! :canny:

The USA V England semi looks far the stronger than the Holland V Sweden match, and you would think whoever wins that will be hot favs to win the trophy.

I watched both matches on Saturday and thought Sweden were far more impressive in beating Germany, than Holland were in beating the much lower ranked Italians. Holland seemed to wilt in the heat and were completely clueless in front of goal in open play (they scored from 2 set pieces). Sweden look physically much stronger, yet Holland are favs to go through. I might stick a few quid on Sweden at 9/4 to win in 90 minutes.
