10 Years Old Boy Stabbed

A 10-year-old boy has been stabbed in the street while out with his mother.
They were approached by a man in Belper Street, Leicester, at about 17:20 GMT on Saturday, who stabbed the boy and then ran off, police said.
A member of the public called emergency services and the child was taken to hospital in Nottingham, where his condition is described as non life-threatening.
His mother was not injured in the attack.
Leicestershire Police described the suspect as a light-skinned Asian man, in his mid-20s, about 5ft 10in tall, of chubby build, and wearing a brown jacket.
Det Insp Tim Lindley said: "This was an act of violence against a young child who was out, in the street, with his mother."
He appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage of the area around the time of the attack to contact police.

Hmm, the 'another unwhite' bit does come across as a bit racist. Come on major, I know this stuff hurts you deeply and it hurts me too but let's try and think of it in terms of good people and bad people. All good people who contribute to society should be welcome in the UK.

The ethnicity angle could be relevant though given how many islamist terror attacks there have been this century. There's been a few stabbings in England and France recently that were initially been reported as having possible terrorist / islamist motivations, that suddenly disappeared from all media reporting. We know from the Rotherham etc (and recent Manchester) rape scandals that the authorities hate uncomfortable angles arounds ethnicity / religion and will actively cover things up, so let's keep an open mind. There was a parent stabbed while pushing a pram just a few weeks ago, which has disappeared from the media in a similar fashion.

Hopefully everyone can agree that hurting / stabbing / targeting children in ANY WAY is completely fucking heinous and should come with the harshest possible punishments our justice system allows. Tbh I think seriously hurting a child is something that an individual can never truly be rehabilitated from. It's not a 'mistake' or a bad judgement, it's a serious, unretractable, complete failing in what it means to be a human being.

Sometimes culture can have something to do with it though. There's plenty of things a minority might hold as a cultural norm that I might not respect or disagree with. In the case of knife crime and other gang bangy shyte it's a subculture and it's complex and historic as to how these things emerge and take a hold.

For the record my hometown had a few incidents of muggers holding knifes to babies throats, they were white youths. Arseholes all, whatever their skin colour.
