So by blocked you mean Geert Wilders not a very good negotiator.

Or do you mean blocked as in 30% of the vote does not get 100% of the power.

Russians acts of defiance at polling booths were never going to change the inevitable result of a Putin win.
I’m of the opinion that we are lucky to have some semblance of democracy in choosing our leaders.
I hope Russians, somehow, get rid of their maniac president.

From what I can see the problem is that although an extreme right party swept up all the right wing votes there are more than enough progressives to ensure that the extreme right wing party doesn't get absolute power based on just over 30% of the votes cast.

In articles published at the time Wilders said 'of course' he would be able to negotiate and find partners with whom he could get the 76 votes necessary to form a government- and so far that has not been true. Since the centre pieces of Wilders plans are the exact reason the CU and the D66 pulled out of the former right wing coalition there seems little prospect of them ageeing to the same ideas coming from the PVV.

Wilders just needs to get better at negotiating - saying it's not fair and screaming like a tantruming child won't get it done

These far right guys often have interesting hairstyles.

Geert Wilders sports a strange bouffant haircut - or sometimes it looks like it's kept in place with a ton of gel.

He reminds me of the billionaire Brietbart guy Bannon who certainly nails the 'homeless dosser' look!

He got the largest share of the vote in nearly 15 years.

Napoleon Macron wants to put boots on the ground in Ukraine, but he also wants the EU to field a unified force for European security.
Initially, I thought he was being an idiot, but with Trump likely to be reelected he’s starting to look a bit of a visionary, with regard to Europe rearming and not basking under the US security umbrella.
