Another piece of info about the Black Sea.

At the Bosporus, where Istanbul now stands, was a land bridge which kept the Mediterranean Sea separate from the basin of dry land which is now the Black Sea. Sometime around 15,000 years ago, the bridge of land collapsed and water poured in and filled the basin, dispossessing the inhabitants of their land.

This event was so cataclysmic and the first to be witnessed by humans, it is said to have been passed down through the ages and is the basis of all flood legends of all cultures, including Noah and his Ark.

In terms of human civilisation it is, don't forget, further North we were still in the grip of an ice age where in Britain we had mile high Glaciers as far south as the M4 motorway........it lasted another 1000 years or more before it began to recede.

I have an idea..........we could get 150 centenarians, stand them in a line, go to the last one in the queue and ask, what it was like when the flood came?............. or was Noah's boat really that big and did he really build it on his own?
