Bad luck Sunny and NAA.

It's a terrible way to lose a game on penalties.

Still Greece did really well at the World Cup, you should both be proud.

Today's games are,

France v Nigeria. I hope the Frenchies send Nigeria packing, after Nigeria tried to sully our good name a couple of months ago. Kick off 5 pm.

Germany v Algeria. I think Germany will win that game, as i've said before i think Germany will win the tournament, but Big Magic plays for Algeria, so i would be quite pleased if i was wrong and Germany get knocked out. Kick off 9 pm.

Goal of the tournament so far?

I've heard people and pundits lauding the James Rodriguez goal for Colombia against Uruguay as favourite, I don't agree. For me it is still the goal by Australian Tim Cahill against Holland which gets my vote.

True, both were stunning goals, both hit on the volley and both stunned their opponents. On balance though I think Cahill's was the most difficult as it came from a long ball cross and he had just the one chance, a split second to make all the right moves to hit the ball sweetly into the net.

Whereas Rodriguez did control the ball with his chest first, allowing himself those few extra moments to guide it down before cracking it into the net before it touched the ground.

Both goals have their merits but unless someone pulls out another wonder goal in the remainder of the tournament, which is easily possible going by the way this world cup has gone so far, I reckon Cahill just edges it - close run thing though.

Here's a good idea.

Why don't you have a poll when the tournaments over about who scored the best goal?

That way we can all vote for our favourite.

Hiya guys, its ok that's football, so now I have made my final decision and its Belgium all the way, jeez half the team is spurs anyway.

And I hope Algeria win tonight, coz what Germany did to Algeria 30 yrs ago cannot be forgotten, realising they got through and just passed the ball around with Austria so both teams could go through was disgusting so now its Algerias time to make things right, c'mon Bentaleb a spurs player in the Algerian team.

So that's it Algeria and Belgium.

I know we all thought that, what a horrible feeling to go out through penalties. I went straight to bed mark and nearly started crying but thought its not gonna fix anything, so shut my eyes and drifted off then it was morning and that off feeling came back. :thud:

Yes indeed, definite hand ball in the penalty area, the ref had a direct line of sight too.
