Billy Davies is the new favourite to take over from Ally McCoist. Wee Billy started his career at Rangers, although he only played a handful of games. He'd currently without a club, since he left Nottingham Forrest.

Dundee United v Celtic today, kick off 12.15pm.

United will be without Paul Paton, who is banned for spitting on Jonny Hayes of Aberdeen. Hayes has come out in defence of Paton and said he didn't do it. In fact, nobody out of nearly 14,000 people inside the stadium saw it, except for some new compliance officer on his first day in the job

Anyway I hate both these teams, but at a push Scumdee United are slightly less annoying than Celtic and victory for Celtic, would mean they go seven points clear at the top of the SPL. So I hope United win.

Scott Brown might be the Scotland Captain, but he's a fucking disgrace. One of the United players was on the ground, clearly in a lot of pain and what does Brown do? Put the ball out of play? No, he carries on playing. The referee had to stop the game.

So it's official, Ally McCoist is no longer Rangers Manager. He has left the club he loved. Ally McCoist has had to endure more than any other manager has ever to in the history of football. Coisty could have walked away, when we got bunged in the lowest tier of Scottish Football and all our best players were flogged, but he stayed because he's Rangers to the core and this is a sad day for Rangers Football Club.

Coisty's record as Rangers Manager.

Games in charge 126
Won 95
Drawn 18
Lost 13
Goals Scored 308
Goals conceded 38

Some photos of Coisty.

Ally McCoist won loads of honours during his playing career. One of them was the European Golden boot, he won it twice.

Ally McCoist's record as Rangers manager is very impressive, but it still wasn't enough to satisfy some "fans"

Rangers most successful manager of all time was Bill Struth. He won eighteen league titles and countless other trophies. Struthy is one of the most decorated managers of all time.

Bill Struth was Rangers second manager and he replaced William Wilton, who drowned in an accident while out fishing. Mr Struth was the assistant manager at the time and was with Wilts when it happened. There have been many scurrilous accusations by some fans over the years (Celtic) that he pushed him, so he could get his job.

Bill Struth did no such thing.

So as i said elsewhere Kenny McDowall is the caretaker manager at Rangers since Coisty left. I don't imagine he'll be in the position for long though, because the rumour is Mike Ashley and Derel LIIambias will name the new manager on Wednesday.

I wish people would stop saying Ally McCoist is on "Gardening leave" he's a football legend. Not Percy Thrower, FFS.

It's the forty-forth anniversary, next month of the Ibrox Disaster. Sixty-Six Rangers fans died on the the 2nd of January 1971. Sixty-five men and boys and one girl. The youngest victim of the disaster was a young lad called Nigel Pickup who was eight years old and had been taken to his first ever football game as a Christmas treat.
