It looks as if it's time for part 17 - I thought this one would last until the new season started.

I've not heard anything concrete, just the odd rumour - but it looks as if Olivier Giroud might have played his last game for Arsenal at the FA Cup.

The rumours centred around his 'shenanigans' with the ladies last season and before - his missus was obviously well upset and had supposedly demanded his return to France - as if that's gonna stop him messing around. :dunno:

Anyway, looking at some of our supposed transfer targets - the 'striker' department appears to have taken on a new significance - so there could be some truth in it.

I like Giroud, he's a competent front man, can score some special goals and is an extremely good holder up of the ball - yet I've always had my doubts about his consistency and more often about his commitment to the team.

That may be as a result of extra-curricular pressure he's put in himself in his private life - but you have to wonder if his 'philandering' is a rule rather than an exception - making his inconsistency the same.

Personally, I'd like him to get himself sorted out and his head in the right place - unfortunately with someone like him - that rarely happens until well into later life.

It's a shame really.

Chelsea's Eden Hazard has expressed his desire to team up with fellow Belgian, Christian Benteke who looks to be wanting a move from Aston Villa.

Hazard reckons Benteke would be ideal for Chelsea and would love to play with him up front at Stamford Bridge, where he believes they could be a deadly duo.

Jose Mourinho though, may have other ideas. I don't think Benteke is a Mourinho player - he's very similar to Romelu Lukaku who Mourinho cut loose last season - so I don't see him as a Chelsea player.

Neither did Benteke fair very well in last weekend's FA Cup Final - it should have been a showcase for his 'talents' but he got completely owned by Per Mertesacker - not normally renowned for speed, agility or particular bravery either.

The only chance he might have is if Chelsea's other targets fall by the wayside.

Well I got 3/10 shows how much I follow England Internationals. I got the two Arsenal ones and a guess for the third. I'm annoyed because I knew the Charlie Austin question, but pressed the wrong button.

If you got one wrong you could have gone back and started again and they did say the questions were obscure..so don't worry about it.

If it had been well known strikers..i imagine you would have done a lot better.

Not long to go now..

Barcelona v Juventus...kick off 19:45pm.

Image

So we'll find out tonight who has won the 8th major treble in history.

Luis Lads or Massi's Marvels.

One major blow for the Italians is the news that defender Giorgio Chiellini isn't playing...that's going to be a major blow for the Italians as they try and cope with Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez.

The only injury doubt Luis Enrique has is Andres Iniesta...who picked up a knock in last weeks Copa del Rey Cup Final.

Barcelona will be too strong for Juventus and without doubt...Messi, Neymar and Suarez will add to the 120 goals they've already scored this season.

I predict that Barcelona will win by several goals tonight.

I spoke to a friend of mine a little while ago and he was wondering if he should stay in and watch the Champions League Final or visit his wife in hospital. Image

5 minutes gone and Barcelona are 1 nil up and a different class. Juventus only chance looks like coming from a set piece or catching them on the break.

It could be all over by half-time tbh.
