Very slow and heavy.
It's the second one this week and at this time of the night!
It's really cold too.
I presume it must be a queen looking for some where to sleep the winter away.
No fight in it at all.

Hope you let it live?

I am always getting these cheeky types of wasp flying about - the cheeky fuckers. :shake head:

Wife catches them and chucks them back out.
Surviving out there in the cold aint going to be easy I wouldn't have thought.

But at least they have a chance to find somewhere else.

Pics are of the Japanese Giant Hornet and Megascolia procer by the way - two of the largest wasp species in the world - along with the Tarantula Hawks (Pepsis sp).

Night. :smilin:

Decent size enough comparison of seven of the largest theropods - notice after all the media hype over the past few decades about the various contenders that actually rexy is still by far the heaviest (and that is a conservative weight estimate). :canny:

Not interested in predicting the horn shapes and the growth of keratin sheaths of prehistoric animals such as Triceratops?

Why not?

You should all be hung drawn and quartered. :monkey:

I saw a fox run down my street this morning around 6:30. :yikes: We’ve lived in this house for 8 years and I’ve never seen one. The closest field is quite a ways away, I hope he/she isn’t going to be a regular resident. :ooer: Felt a little nervous about letting the cats out but they can climb at least so they’d be ok.
