Man City advanced into the final of the second, most prestigious Cup competition in the world last night.

It's such an important competition, they play half a dozen Semi-Finals.

Nobody does Cup Competitions like the English, every morning we give thanks for them.

With all the talk of who'll win the EPL title!!

Will it be Spurs or Arsenal, we're over looking two small problems.

Man City and Leicester.

Far be it for me to throw a spanner in the works, but I think both these teams, might have something to say about where the title ends up.

For a start off, they're above both teams.

As I pointed out in an earlier thread about the Italians, they are at it again with their 'Machiavellian manoeuvres'

This time it's not about English clubs being banned, in fact they are hoping to convince some to back them in their suggestions to UEFA.

Every now and again, the top clubs in the European Clubs Association, discuss 'suggestions' to be made to UEFA about what they'd like to see happen in the European game. They are not so much suggestions as orders because UEFA know they cannot go against this alliance of top clubs.

They met recently to discuss matters concerning the next round of TV deals for the Champions league, which comes up for renewal early 2018. They decide what they want UEFA to do and what they expect and also, any other business.

This time the Italians, primarily AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus plus other Italian clubs, put a proposal to the others for backing that the top European clubs, including themselves get 'automatic champions league places' regardless of how they fair in their domestic leagues.

This has come about because the likes of AC Milan have failed to qualify for the past two seasons and look likely to miss out again this season. The suggestion might have been dismissed out of hand had it not been for Manchester United failing to qualify and looking unlikely again this season and also Chelsea now and of course Liverpool.

What this means is effectively a 'European Super League' where the same top clubs in Europe play it out amongst themselves every season whilst those not 'in the club' will never get a chance.

So the likes of Leicester if they happen to get a champions league place and also Celtic and Rangers along with a host of others, will be excluded from the top European competition.

This is bad news for football and you would hope sense would prevail, but these people discussing the matter are not 'football people' they are businessmen and it would be a very lucrative proposition if your club was one of the 'chosen few'.

If there was enough agreement, it could quite easily happen, UEFA had to kow-tow to the top clubs before, which is why the European Cup was replaced by the Champions league - UEFA fear that at anytime, the top clubs could just breakaway and form a super league of their own, which would effectively destroy UEFA.

Lets hope this abomination of an idea never happens.

A European Super League would be a far fairer competition, than having the Champions League stuffed full of Non-Champions.

Aye have the Champions League with Champions only ( If you finish in 2nd, 3rd or 4th place you can play in the Super League.

It's ridiculous, the also ran's in England get to play in Europe's most elite competition.

Oh and due to the SFA being corrupt, Rangers have been excluded from Europe for the last five years.

Not that anyone cares. Image

He's one of our own!

Just like Andros eh?

By the way - Mauricio Pottechino is being linked with a move to Chelsea in the summer. .... still, he isn't one of your own is he.

If he does go, Chelsea can add him to the long list of failures they've been bringing to Stamford Bridge for years now - another with a media made reputation - with absolutely no substance.

Just think what Spurs actually means to poch no doubt when he was growing up in Argentina there were a certain 2 Argentina players playing for us so we were prob the first English team he knew about and no doubt prob followed while no history Chelsea were pissing around in the second div. you can see he loves Spurs and if u hear what ossie says about him then all the press can keep writing absolute bollox as we know he ain't going nowhere!

You know my thoughts about picture and video spamming but I'll pull you on this one.

Have you found a similar 'collage' of pictures with these?

Paulinho - bought for £17million - sold 2 years later for £9million
Soldado - bought for £26million - sold 2 years later for £10million
Capoue - bought for £9million - sold 2 years later for £7million
Lamela - bought for £26million - can't sell for another massive loss

and of course, we can't forget about the famous:

Adebayor - bought for £5million and wages totalling £18million over 3 years - given a free after playing a couple of dozen games and still paying his wages.

Yep! ........ 'His Way Is The Best Way' :gigglesnshit:
