Perpetual is right, imo. Yes, Cornish's OP in that thread was absolutely puke-inducing, and her OTT reaction to the inevitable, ensuing criticism was ridiculous.

Still, the OP gave the usual suspects, yourself included, something to get their teeth into. In they poured, all busting a gut to show how cool/measured/rational/right-on they are - pretty much throughout 19 pages...

As an aside: that ludicrous broad, Hobbit...(sorry, Ninjy!) I just can't take her seriously. After seeing what I've seen about her, I honestly do laugh every time I see her name.

Of course this site allows me more freedom, isn't that one reason people post here? I have been on DS for over ten years without a ban or a warning... the reason for that isn't because I am a saint or 'protected' in some conspiratorial way, but because I am careful.

As for the thread, Cornish was the architect of the reaction on there - not by posting the OP, but her response to the first few posts - she chose to get personal with people, no-one made her question the femininity, sex or mentality of other posters, she did that by choice. She was invited, by tia and I among others, to engage in a proper discussion of how those pieces of 'romantic prose' actually demean women (and men for that matter), but she chose to rant instead. She reaped what she sowed.

Yes, you and the cabal who happened to be around at the time certainly did ensure Cornish "reaped what she sowed". I repeat: throughout 19 pages of almost claustrophobic smugness, and constant variations of stating the bleedin' obvious

She sneered and preached her man hating agenda in page after page on General Discussion, in typical sjw style, and lectured people on misogyny and how bad it was for women.... only to be found out to be someone who slutshames herself in the showbiz forum, and even starts threads to do so. Busted!

Apparently it's ok to be a misogynist or to slate women for having a sex life, but only if it's her or her showbiz pals and only if it's against a woman she doesn't like. Seems legit to me.

Oops, I think that was Face Ache that slutshames in showbiz whilst preaching about misogyny elsewhere. Still those lot are all pretty interchangeable, you see one and you've seen 'em all, - they're all by and large the same with how they post, so same same but different.

Hobbit Feet got all brave when Cornish was on the ropes and once she'd checked she had Jane Doh and the Sychophants in tow, proceeded to be a sneery snidey bitch, all big and brave, whilst lapping up the vomit inducing back slaps from aforementioned pals. That's it I think?

Oh and she has hairy toes. It's presented as a joke, but if rumours are to be believed it's like some kind of out of control forest down there.

I've been posting myself about the hypocrisy in showbiz on DS, dare to mention Katie Price and in they pile with their Andre bile, but face_ache has only posted a handful of times in total from what I can make out and one post was saying Katie Price was indeed a loose woman so far enough on that, but can you show me other posts where she slags women off because I cant find any. Categorising her as being the same as the likes of Vodka_Drinka, BlondieX and others is a bit much. I think you're right about the showbiz frumps but I think putting her in with them isn't fair.

Anne666, posts endless drivel and is equally as rude offensive and confrontational as Cornish. Many would say more so. Would you therefore have the same opinion if a load of people ridiculed her and her posts in 30 odd pages and it just be one against the masses coming out with continued sneery comments?

Do you think she deserves the same treatment? If so I'm sure we can round up the troops and make it happen... although if she 'reaps what she sows' it will probably be more like 3000 odd pages of it.

No one 'rounded any troops' up though - people simply reacted to the posts made by CP. If anyone else reacted the way CP did then I would take a view based on the events, not who people were. What I see here isn't a spirited defence of Cornish Piskie, but the same old attacks on the DTV crowd that I tend to simply ignore as I find the whole DTV v Others thing to be tedious bore.

Cornish's "One Flaw" thread is closed. About time it was horrible to see the DTV clique and their bullying ways still hold court on DS. Jane Doh, Maw, Hobbit and all the rest of the creepy hanger ons are a vicious little pack. Sad bastards.

I am no fan of Cornish, in fact quite far from it, but I agree. Hunting in packs and the many against one mentality is the only reason some of them had the courage.

I'd be confident that if Hobbit Feet ever had the balls (or ovaries) to take Cornish on one on one, she'd have her ass handed to her on a plate rather comprehensively. Sniping at her with the likes of Jane Doh etc kissing her ass however and she's suddenly all big and brave.

The vast majority of posts on that thread were critical of the content of the OP, not the OP. However Cornish Piskie went on a rant on pages 1 & 2, calling into question the femininity of posters who didn't like the post; then saying they could actually be men; calling the joking criticism 'gut wrenching hatred'; questioning poster's mentality - the only person attacking other posters, until Mina rocked up to call everyone bullies, was the OP herself. Sorry, but we all have to learn to deal with our posts being challenged on there - and CP got the short-shrift she deserved when she started getting personal about those who don't share her love of 'romantic prose'.

Do you always assume when one poster or posters are being criticized that means that every poster in a thread or on a forum or in the whole world must be criticized at the same time? MinaH turned up to insult posters who were criticising a post made by Cornish. She posted in defence of Cornish who was insulting posters who criticised her post. I didn't post in that thread by the way so I didn't insult or criticise anyone.

I read it quite a lot, though, Stooo. But I rarely venture much beyond browsing GD. No idea about any "Chatter" going on there, or even where to find it.

Have a word with yourself. In the female taxi thread she was worse than Cornish Piskie was in hers with the name calling the accusations of woman hating and the nastiness. If she didn't bleat on and on about misogyny or so quick to label many of women haters, then the fact she's happy to call women loose when it suits her wouldn't be such an issue.

If you lecture others on sexism and be quite aggressive then you can't complain when it's found out that not only does she post in the most misogynistic place of all, and not say boo to a goose to any of the real women haters, she also starts threads to encourage yet more nastiness.

Saying she's not as bad as Vodka Drinka etc is hardly an excuse. It's like saying we shouldn't have an issue with a racist because there are others out there more racist. Much like Cornish, she's reaping what she sows, and like it or not she's a massive hypocrite, who clearly only plays the misogyny card when it suits her.
