Not too bad Vic, hope you are ok.

Its gonna be weird seeing thousands of scottish flags at a spanish cup final.... there might be more than at the actual scottish cup final :yikes:

So the Scottish Football season draws to it's conclusion, with this afternoon's Scottish Cup Final.

Glasgow Rangers v Hibernian. Kick Off 3:00 pm.

It's seven years since Rangers last won the Scottish Cup and victory today, will see Glasgow's finest win it for the 34th time in their history.

The Edinbuggers last won it in 1902.

We've had a cracking season and reaching the Cup Final is great!!

Rangers last played Hibs in the Cup on the first day of the season and won 6-2.

I'll settle for 1-0, just as long as Rangers win.

Dave King, said four of Celtic's last five titles don't count.

Never a truer word spoken!!

Where's the glory in winning those titles, when Rangers weren't around to challenge them?

At least when Rangers won nine-in-a row, we had those twats annoying us each season.

Talking of Celtic!!

Brendan Rodgers is their new manager.

After the arse he made of Liverpool, Roy Rogers would have been a better choice.

Title number 55, here we come!! Image

Good luck to Crystal Palace and Rangers in their respective cup finals today, bringing an end to domestic football for another season.

Can't wait for August and it's return, lets just hope England and the home countries can get a run going in the Euro's to keep the interest.

Anyway, it'll be a big season for all, Rangers back in the Scottish top flight and a Premier League heaving with competition, with the big boys all trying to get back to their best and everyone else thinking they can do 'a Leicester'

It'll be an whirlwind of a transfer window, so exciting times ahead.

Granit Xhaka was at London Colney yesterday to complete his medical ahead of signing for Arsenal on a 5 year, £25-30million move from Borussia Munchengladbach.

With the club fee agreed and personal terms sorted out, Arsenal are expected to announce their first signing of the summer window on Monday.

Xhaka is a Swiss international and has played in the Bundesliga for five years, the 25 year old has been likened by many in Germany as a young Bastian Schweinsteiger and is a welcomed addition to Arsenal's defensive midfield, which will be 'light' after the releases of old guardsmen, Arteta, Flamini and Rosicky.

I don't know much about the player but I trust Wenger's judgement, he's had a bee in his bonnet about this guy since before last summer and it seems he's not let the grass grow under his feet. When Arsenal get a player early, you know he's been a target for a while and not just a buy for the sake of it.

Wenger apparently preferred him to Leicester's N'Golo Kante who seems to be a target for everyone this window, so I'm sure he's got the right minerals for the Premier League.

Xhaka will be the first of the three first team squad players Wenger has said he is looking to buy this summer, though there looks to be a little way to go yet before he can announce a central defender and a striker - it seems this first signing was the important one for him.

TBF for a couple of years in the mid-90's Celtic were so fucked financially that they couldnt even finish in the top 3.

Anyway hopefully next year is the year when one of the other clubs finally wins the league, being dominated by the same 2 teams for 30years aint a good thing.

Some facts about the Scottish Cup Final..

This is the first time in the competitions 131 year history, it's been contested by two teams outwith the SPL.

Today will be the first time in 59 years, it will be won by a team managed by an Englishman.

Aye Celtic went through a rough time in the 90's, much to my amusement.

The other teams can get stuffed, we're going for 55!! Image

So the Spoon Burners won 3-2!!

Thanks to two goals by the IRA loving cunt Anthony Stokes and the village idiot David Gray.

You can crack open the cheap cider now and celebrate your first victory since 1902.
