Iceland's a very underrated store.
You will always find little gems dotted around if you look.

Yes Iceland is a cracking store.
I got those burgers half price at £1 as well - and their ready meals and pizzas are always excellent value.

They didn't have it in store when we went, K. It's not that they ran out of it, they said that bargain did not exist. Their website lied!!
But they did have other bargains so I shan't grumble.

Tonight I'll be like malamute and not plan in advance what to have for supper.
I'll just open the fridge door and see what takes my fancy. Maybe egg 'n chips or whatever!

..For us, a half shoulder of lamb, slow cooked over four hours in a casserole dish with lamb gravy, garlic, mixed herbs, salt and pepper and not forgetting to shove some white wine in as well.

Don't be such a snob. Nowt wrong with egg & chips. Classic working class grub.

In a rush as I have to go out tonight and cook for 5 so it's going to be sausages, eggs, oven chips and baked beans.
I will say though that the oven chips are Lidls luxury ones and they're huge and very chunky.

I do still miss cooking for more than just me, though

OMG I haven't had Colcannon in ages. Must make it soon.

I am just cooking for 6. Roast beef, roasties, yorkies, leeks in a white sauce, carrots, green beans and gravy. Dessert is a fruit crumble from Aldi with créme fraiche. They're very good and Saves a lot of messing around. I have jobs to do in garden this afternoon.
