Maybe I ought to be on that diet then.

I think baked potatoes are completely over-rated and I'd be delighted never to have one ever again.

are they a grammatically incorrect form of carbohydrate? the grocer's apostrophe of spuds?

Does anybody have a home remedy for instant cold relief? (Tried and tested)

I think I am coming down with it. :paranoid:

It's so hot here, the dog is fast asleep and the cat has found the coolest place in the house is between the kitchen and living room doors and is sleeping there and every time I go in the kitchen I forget she's there and fall over her. Then she walks in the kitchen and glares at me.

The dog keeps lying on the patio in the sun until she is baking hot, then she comes in and drinks her water bowl dry, I've given up trying to move her, she'll come and sit in the conservatory for a bit in front of the fan and then back outside to bark at the birds and lie in the sun!

Thinking of opening a bottle of wine.

I usually take 2 paracetamol and try to get some sleep. Olbas oil is good for blocked up noses on a tissue and on your pillow.

You need lots of sleep, no liquids 2 hours before sleep, no coffee 6 hours before sleep

Both my cats are like that. They fight over who gets to drink first. :gigglesnshit: I give them fresh water in their bowls every day but they like the running water better. The older one, Lexi, likes to sleep in the sink. She’s usually waiting to ambush whoever needs the toilet. Loves to curl up and snuggle when your pants are down. :ooer: She’s weird.

In Devon we used to put potatoes in the hot ashes after a big bonfire. That's how to do them IMO. Then you get that smoky taste similar to a barbecue. Nothing like you'd get normally in a retail outlet.

I just don't much care for potatoes, full-stop. :ooer:
