I wasn’t supposed to have smarties because they’ve got gluten in them but I don’t have to do gluten free anymore, which is a relief.

Next thing I’ve to try cutting out is lactose - I can’t be arsed with that :bawlin:

I highly recommend taking a few digestive enzyme tablets before every meal.
I have very poor digestion and this simple thing has helped me immensely.
Remember to get a very thorough one with a good long list of enzymes from protease to lactase and everything inbetween.
I take a product called ENZYCORE..made by a company called STANDARD PROCESS INC..all natural-They are located in Wisconsin and they even have their own huge organic farm.

:smilin: Cheers for that, I’ll give that a try. They’ve told me to cut out lactose next, I think I’ll wait u til I can be arsed being strict with myself again.

I think that is only the US, Canada have an issue, and the UK can't guarantee it (this might be slightly out of date)

they also won't guarantee them gluten free in the UK with the potential for European imports (again this might have changed recently)

edit - this is the most recent I can find - oddly the avoidance list is things that are OK, not the ones that aren't

That’s just dumbassed. It should be the other way round, calling it an avoidance list is asking for disaster.

Smarties with gluten? You sure?

Well it said wheat on the label, I had to avoid gluten and wheat, I don’t know if gluten is in all wheat things but I had to avoid both. I don’t any more, thank goodnes. I was raging when I found out. I just had the tube up to my mouth and my husband shouted put that down. :grrrrr:

I’m trying to think where they’d put the wheat, better not post a smiley or the Trunchbull will have me!
