I was on the verge of a wee vodka but ended up having to take a painkiller instead. :bawlin:

I'm seriously considering a second. Well I do have half a can of bitter lemon left

Why ever not?

I've never had bitter lemon in a vodka, I will have to try it sometime.

homemade chicken kiev

I fail to see how it can end as anything other than a couple of hollow chicken breasts swimming in some burnt garlic butter

Have you tried adding some sliced mushrooms into the garlic butter / tarragon mix? It's nice and fills out the inside nicely.

If you're not watching your figure you could also add a little grated cheese into the breadcrumb coating as well.

tarragon is one of my fave herbs, I just used some thyme from the garden, but I have put a little parmesan into the panko breadcrumbs

daughter detests mushrooms but I love them

and it's too late to salvage my figure :bawlin:

Poor Hobbitz!

I was at a gastropub for an early dinner last night with the fam and they had chicken kiev with grated parmesan breadcrumb coating on the menu. How chic.

You've inspired me but I'm greedier. So tonight it's bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes beans and scrambled egg. Maybe some black pudding also.
