Nearest good one is 6 miles away but went to the nearest one instead.

Next time I'll drive a bit further and zap it in the microwave a bit if it's gone a bit cold.

It was going to go in Jr's bedroom but he ended up getting my wooden framed one because that's what Dads do. The one I'm sending back is a manual lift Ottoman and it wouldn't work without the headboard and I'm not breaking £600 worth of bed just to get it upstairs. I had three options: 1. Take out an upstairs window, 2. Take out part of a 200 year old set of stairs or 3. Send it back.

You're doing the right thing. Always get yourself a good bed and a good pair of shoes, because if you're not in one you're in the other.

Many Asians (e.g. the Japanese) take their shoes off when they enter a house. Totally agree with that. I only wear shoes when I am going out of the house.

Very stormy weather out here this week. My dogs are quite hardy and don't usually get too fazed by thunderstorms. But the thunder really has been incredibly LOUD over the last couple of days, which is making them a bit twitchy and wide-eyed scared - in a "WTF was THAT??" way

I'm kinda wearing them right now. One is draped across my tummy, while the other has climbed up to the back of the couch and is trying to drape herself around my shoulders like a furry boa.

What they don't know is I'm about to get up in a minute, and send them both scattering ...
