Yes I agree, although it's not used in NZ. We call the 10 o clock meal at night "munchies" :pmsl:

Brunch is a combination of breakfast and lunch eaten usually during the late morning to early afternoon, generally served from 10am up to 2pm, and regularly has some form of alcoholic drink (most usually champagne or a cocktail) served with it.The word is a portmanteau of breakfast and lunch. Brunch originated in England in the late 19th century.

I don't usually do late night munchies, I prefer brunch with a buck fizz or two or a cocktail :smilin:

I say lunch, and I'm not posh in the slightest. I come from a mum who used to call Brussel sprouts "baby cabbages" well into her twenties, and once asked an M&S shop assistant to direct her to the cosmonauts. She meant croissants.

Is it a colonial thing?

Any idea about Australia, do they say tea for meal time at all?
