The Lib Dems Must Back Corbyn to Stop No Deal

Postby Guest » Thu Aug 15, 2019 12:18 pm

Yesterday Jeremy Corbyn wrote to leaders of other political parties and senior backbenchers from across parliament to lay out a plan to stop a disastrous no deal Brexit and let the people decide the future of our country.

MPs from the Greens, the SNP, Plaid Cymru and even some Tories have said they'll work with Jeremy to stop a no deal Brexit. But the Lib Dems - despite stopping Brexit being their flagship policy - have refused.

https://actionsprout.io/B30A1E/thanks

Brexit is just a cover for them, they are only interested in jumping into bed with their other half (The Tories)

The leader of the opposition gets first dibs on forming another government.
Swinson must be as thick as she looks then.

Not true.

"if a vote of confidence is defeated, or a vote of no confidence is passed, then the incumbent government must resign, or call a general election"

So if Boris loses a no-confidence motion, then he calls a General Election for November 1st, and stays on as PM until then
In the meantime, we leave the EU on October 31st.

Is True.

There was an analysis of the situation on Sky news politics.

The speaker and other parties will not allow the Tory scum to crash out. Boris would be forced from office by the civil servants if needs be.

"Lib Dem leader Jo Swinson said she would not support making Mr Corbyn PM.
In speech on Thursday, she said her party would work with others to stop a no-deal exit but Mr Corbyn was not a leader "respected on both sides of the House".

Yeah, we're really going to support a section of that party that continually slags us off :off head:

We want to stop brexit by any means, what is going on is called negotiation.

It needs a GNU after any successful VNC with three simple policies:

1. Extend the leave date.

2. A proper vote without the bullshit.

3. Voting reform.

4. A GE.

In that order.

What is going on is party before country - welcome to the past.

Just what we needed, two political egos in search of power - it was always thus. :shake head:

Swinson rarely attacks the Tories for obvious reasons.
