I'm not sure that the retail sector counts as a vocation.

True - and these are still important roles - but it's not the conventional understanding of a vocation.

I am currently binge watching Brideshead Revisited. It's as good as it was when I first watched it. :wubbers:

I've just been ordering some flowers to send to my former father-in-law from Mr D and me. My former mother-in-law's funeral is on Wednesday and whilst I really did not like her much, he's quite a decent chap.

Some people think it's odd to send flowers to a man - but I dont.

the dvla..what a bunch of useless cunts !!

sent off for a new photie on my license, paid the post office four pounds fifty
on top of the fee for replacing it
so there would be no fuck ups
and guess what?...yep..they fucked it up !!

the timeline is three weeks from sending to receiving
but one assumes, that is to cover themselves for the random arse hole to process it

well..i managed to get that fucking arse hole

the post office did their job but there was a technical glitch * sigh *
and a nauseating letter of faux apologetic sycophancy

so now,it's cost another fiver, for yet another photo

and it will probably take another fortnight before i get it back

useless fucking cunts doesn't even begin to cover it...

Feeling your pain, having been caught up in child passport nonsense with the Passport Office recently. :monkey:

Re the photo driving licences, I've stuch with my old faithful paper one, they don't need renewing every ten years - another con.

All of which reminds me, I need to renew my EHIC soon.

of power that can fuck you about with impunity

I made an excellent judgement call earlier on when I decided NOT to walk to the bank earlier. It had been sunny and then clouded over just as I was thinking of venturing out

No sooner had I finished and got back to my car when the heavens opened! Torrential rain!! :yikes:

Found the most humungous spider lurking behind the cabinet front of the fridge this evening.

I took a picture on my phone. I'd let you see it but I've never tried posting a phone picture on here.

Connect or cloud your phone to your puter and upload with the upload attachment at the bottom of the posting page. I tend to dump my pics to my PC regularly as a backup but mainly because I'm a bit OCD about my phone's storage, I've even got a mini SD card storage thing on it but it needs to be kept clean . I got a software update on it yesterday but the Cortana voice assistant isn't ready for the UK market yet, the rest of the update is great.
